STUDENTS
(6th-12th grade)
Thank you for looking into the Student Ministry here at Greenville Oaks. If you want to get involved, we have three weekly opportunities:
Sunday Mornings: From 10:00 am - 10:45 am in the Student Center, we discuss Biblical stories and passages to learn more about the word of God.
Sunday Nights: From 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Student Center, we break up into small groups by age and gender to grow deeper in relationship with each other and with God.
Mid-Weeks: From 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm on Wednesdays, we meet in the Worship Center to worship, play games, and hear a lesson.
We inspire students to radically follow Jesus through authentic teaching, outreach, experience, and discipleship.
Teaching - We are a group who believe that the Lord teaches us and that we are called to be students of Christ. Each week, we have several opportunities to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn from him.
Outreach - We believe that we are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others. We are not worried about how many people we can get into the building, but rather how we can bring the life of the church to people who would never walk into the church building.
Experience - We strive to have authentic encounters with the living God through shared experiences. Primarily, we love to worship and retreat together. We take several Student ministry retreats throughout the year and worship together often to seek the Lord and allow our hearts to be made aware of his continual presence.
Discipleship - We believe that learning how to follow Jesus is best done in community with others and through seeing people ahead of us in our walk with the Lord. In the Student Ministry, we provide opportunities to fellowship with mature believers through our Sunday night small groups.
